Biography
Shyh-hao Kuo obtained his Ph.D. in engineering science from Simon Fraser University canada in 2008 and B.E. (hon. I) and M.E. both in electrical and electronics engineering from the university of Canterbury, NZ in 1999 and 2002 respectively.
He was with Tait Electronics Ltd, NZ for the period 2001 to 2005, as a design engineer in the research group working on MIMO and space-time related research which was awarded the inaugral IEE Innovation in Engineering Award (for product design) in 2006. He is also the co-inventor of several patents relates to radio communications systems for the work during that period. He is now a scientist at the Institute of High Perfromance Computing (IHPC). His current research interest is in the analysis and optimisation of complex systems from both mathematical as well as the computational perspective.
