Bio Burak Kantarci is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Ottawa. Dr. Kantarci received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He was the recipient of the Siemens Excellence Award in 2005 for his contributions to the optical burst switching research. He has co-authored over five-dozen papers in established journals and conferences, and contributed to five book chapters. He is a co-editor of the forthcoming book, Communication Infrastructures for Cloud Computing, which is to be published by IGI Global in 2013. He has been serving in the TPCs of Green Communication Systems Track of IEEE GLOBECOM and IEEE ICC conferences. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a founding member of the IEEE ComSoc-Technical Sub-committee on Green Communications and Computing.
