Biography
Alban Duverdier received the electronic engineer degree in 1993 and the signal processing Ph.D. degree in 1997 from ENSEEIHT of Toulouse (France). From 1998 to 2006, he was research engineer at CNES (French Space Agency) to support air interface definition for satellite telecommunication projects and manage R&D activities. Since 2007, he belongs to the CNES directorate of programs and international relations. He is research fellow with responsibilities for carrying out prospective technology studies on space policies and programs in Africa, China, Korea and Middle-East and for promoting France space bilateral cooperation. He gives also lectures on satellite telecommunications and broadcasting systems in French engineering schools (ParisTech Telecom, ISEP).
His current interests, in the area of space and telecommunications, are transmission techniques, satellite systems, and standardization (DVB, ETSI, ITU-R).
