Biography
Joaquin Perez received the Ingeniero de Telecomunicacion degree from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, Spain, in 2004, and the Electrical Engineering Ph.D. degree from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, Spain, in 2009.
During his PhD, he worked as a research assistant within the Nanophotonics Technology Center (NTC) of the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, Spain in wireless photonic integration communication systems and ultra-wideband radio-over-fibre systems.
In 2010, he joined the Optical Communications Research group (OCRG), Northumbria Communications Research Lab (NCRLab) at Northumbria University, as a resarch fellow. Since January 2014 he is with the Optical and Quantum Communications group at ITEAM research institute of Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, Spain as Post-doctoral Research Fellow. He is involved in free space optics systems, microwave photonics and optical access networks research activities.
