Biography Mayssaa A. Najjar received my B.Sc. degree and my M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon, in 2004 and 2006, respectively. I also received my M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana in 2008. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the same University in 2012. I am currently pursuing postdoc research with Dr. Magdy Bayoumi at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. My research interests include digital video processing algorithms for automated surveillance systems, embedded software/hardware solutions for object detection and tracking on smart sensor nodes, computer architecture, and special purpose hardware processors for surgical simulators and other applications.
