Samir Rustamov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan in 1980. He received B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Baku State University (BSU), in 2000, the M.S. degree in Optimization and Optimal Control from BSU, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Institute of Cybernetics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), in 2007. Between 2008 and 2012, he worked in Institute of Cybernetics of ANAS in a scientific researcher position. He was lecturer on computer sciences in Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in 2009-2012 years. At present he is a post-doctoral researcher in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests include speech recognition, spoken dialogue processing, sentiment analysis, text mining and theory of neural networks.
