Xianbin Yu received his Ph.D degree in 2005 from Zhejiang University in China. From October 2005 to October 2007, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Tsinghua University, China. Since November 2007, he was employed as a postdoctoral research fellow at DTU Fotonik, Technical University of Denmark, and he is currently working as an assistant professor at DTU Fotonik. His research interests are in the areas of microwave photonics, optical fiber communications, ultrafast photonic wireless signal processing, high frequency and ultrahigh frequency wireless-over-fiber and short-range access technologies. He has co-authored 2 book chapters and 100+ peer-reviewed international journal and conference papers in the area of optical communications.
Dr. Yu was the recipient of the First-Grade China Postdoctoral Foundation in 2006. He was holding a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship within the 7th European Community Framework Program since 2007.
