Biography
Ruonan Zhang (S'09) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in 2010, all in electrical engineering. He was with Motorola Inc. and later with Freescale Semiconductor Inc. in Tianjin, China, from 2003 to 2006, working on SoC design and wireless networking system development of 32-bit microcontroller unit (MCU). Since March 2010, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Northwest Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China. His research interests include the wireless channel modeling, cross-layer design for wireless networks and multimedia streaming over wireless networks.
