Veronica Palma is a PhD from the Applied Electronics Department, Faculty of Engineering, Roma Tre University (Rome, Italy).
In addition to the research activity for the department, where she has written a number of scientific publications, she is now collaborating with RadioLabs, a university-industry consortium participated by large International companies and public Italian universities.
Her scientific research is mainly focused on:
• Routing protocol optimization in mobile networks;
• Network Coding;
• Distributed Video Coding;
• Image Processing;
• Satellite communications.
She has been involved in European projects like ESSOR (European Secure Software defined Radio) and Galileo_PRS for satellite communication. Currently, she is involved in 3InSat (ESA project), a project on satellite navigation in railway environments, whose main goal is improving accuracy of train localization on the basis of satellite multi-constellations system (GPS, EGNOS, GALILEO…).
