Shahid Iqbal was born in 1976. He received the M.S. degree in electronics engineering from the
University Putra Malaysia, in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Multimedia University Malaysia, in 2008. From September 2002 to August 2009, he was a full time lecturer with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Multimedia University, Malaysia. In August 2009, he was appointed Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan. In January 2010, he joined the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, as a Senior Lecturer. He has published several refereed international journal and conference papers. He has been reviewer for several international journals and conferences. His current research interests include power electronics, renewable and alternate energy systems.
