Biography Ying Yan received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Beijing University of Technology, China, in 2002. She has received her M.S. degree in electronics engineering in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in telecommunication engineering in 2010 from Technical University of Denmark. During 2006-2007, she worked as a research scientist at the department of communication platforms in the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), Finland. Ying Yan has worked in the fields of hybrid optical wireless network, energy efficiency, multicast, and heterogeneous wireless networks. Currently her research focus is the design of telemedicine communication system in terms of a security framework and network optimization.
