Biography Mohamed Ghazy was born in Dakahleya, Egypt in 1957. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Helwan University in 1980, and M.S. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University at Indiana, U.S.A. in 1985, and and1989, respectively. From 1990 to 2006 he was associated with the Department of Electric Machines and Power System Department in Helwan University as an Assistance professor in 1990, and became Associate professor and Professor in 1995 and 2000, respectively. From 2006 to 2010 he joined MSA University in Egypt as a chair of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. Currently, he is associated with Effat University where he is a professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering department. His research includes Variable Structure Control, Application of Control in Power Systems and Robotics, and Power Electronics.
