Danco Davcev received Electrical Engineer diploma from University in Belgrade in 1972, his "Doctor – Ingenieur" diploma in Computer Science from the University of Paris-Sud, Paris XI (Paris, France) in 1975 and Ph.D. in Informatics and Computer Science from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1981.
From 1984 - 1985 he was a Fulbright postdoctoral research scientist at the University of California, San Diego (USA).
As a result of this research, Dr. Davcev with his research group published the book "Multimedia Systems" granted in May 1996 with a "Goce Delcev" national award for the best research achievements in 1995.
In 2001/2002 he was a Visiting Fulbright Research Professor at several Universities in USA.
He is currently a professor in Computer Science and Informatics at the University "Sts. Cyril & Methodius", Skopje (R. Macedonia). He was the Head of Computer Science Department for more than 20 years and he has more than 300 research papers.
His research interests include Distributed systems, Cloud computing, Wireless sensor and actuator networks, Multimedia Databases and Retrieval, Collaborative Educational and Social Systems, 3D graphics, Intelligent Information Systems and Interfaces.
He is a Senior member of ACM, a Senior Member of IEEE and Fellow of IARIA.
