Tzung-Shi Chen received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan, in June 1994. He joined the faculty of the Department of Information Management, Chung Jung University, Tainan, Taiwan, as an Associate Professor in June 1996. Since November 2002, he has become a Full Professor at the Department of Information Management, Chung Jung University, Tainan, Taiwan. He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, from June to September 2001. He was the chairman of the Department of Information Management at Chung Jung University from August 2000 to July 2003. He was a Full Professor at the Department of Information and Learning Technology, National University of Tainan, Tainan, Taiwan, from August 2004 to January 2008. Since February 2008, he has become a Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National University of Tainan, Tainan, Taiwan. He has served as program committee members on many international conferences and as Editorial Board members and Guest Editors on many international journals. His current research interests include mobile computing and wireless networks, ubiquitous and pervasive computing, mobile learning, and data mining.
