Biography
Dr. Nabavi is a Qualified Professional Electrical Engineer (B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc. (Hons), PhD (Hons)) by Engineering Australia with 8-year experience in medium and large scale power plants and network design employed by Sakoo Consulting Engineers in Tehran, Iran as a Senior Electrical Engineer and TahkimKav Consulting Engineers in Tehran, Iran as an Electrical Engineer. He worked mainly in design review, network connection design, modeling, simulation, and system analysis of Rudbar- Lorestan, Mollasadra, and Piran power plants.
He also worked for Magellan Power for 3-year, where I was a Renewable Energy and Electrical Systems Engineer (Production Engineer) for a year and then continued as a R&D Renewable Energy and Electrical Systems Engineer for two years. He have been working as an invited lecturer to deliver the “Renewable Energy in Power Systems” and “Electrical Machines and Transformers” at Edith Cowan University Western Australia starting 2015.
He completed his PhD in 2011 at Iran University of Science and Technology (The top 5 Universities in Iran) with more than 50 published peer reviewed articles in Congestion Management, power systems analysis, network development, planning, modelling, dynamic and stability studies, and energy market modelling using different tools such as PowerWorld Simulator, ETAP, HOMER, MATLAB/Simulink, Power Factory (DIgSILENT), PSCAD, UWPFLOW, PSAT, MATPOWER, PSS®E-Power Transmission System Planning, and Programming with MATLAB and QBasic.
