Biography
Professor in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Bioprocess and Food Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA in 2001. Received teaching and Excellence awards from Iowa State University and passed thesis with distinction. Published more than 51 articles and book chapters in well-Known journals.
He served as a vice dean of Engineering for 3 years and as a department head for 3.5 years at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He serves as a Food Quality Expert representing Jordan University of Science and Technology in a project Funded by European Union and titled” Fostering the relationship between academia and food industry,” FoodQA” project. 2017-2019. Total project balance about 900,000 EUR. He also served as a Consultant and National Expert to represent Jordan Agro-industries during the period 2006-2009 with Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
In addition, he served in developing and capacity building of more than 10 factories working in food industry in Jordan. He presented technical papers in 15 international conferences around the world and serves as a reviewer for 13 different peer-reviewed international and local journals.
