Till 2015, he worked at Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, conducting ferroelectric thin film research, developing new functional oxides (oxynitrdes) and electrode materials, performing process integration and optimizing the performance of various RF front-end devices. In 2010 he received Murata Manufacturing’s Vice-President Special Technology Development and Innovation Award. Dr. Koutsaroff founded and organized the First International Symposium on “Advances and Enhanced Functionalities of Anion-controlled New Inorganic Materials (ANIM1)”, in Strasbourg, France, May 27-31, 2013. He has been the lead Guest-Editor of the Special Issue on ANIM materials of the ACS Journal of Crystal Growth & Design (2013/2014); Session Chair and Invited Speaker at many international conferences (e.g., ISIF, MRS, FMA, ISAF, ICC3, Ceramics Society of Japan (CerSJ), ISSP2011, WCAM2013, WCSM2015, E-MRS2015, ISIF2017).
