Biography
Theo G. Swart received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from the Rand Afrikaans University, South Africa, in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and the D.Eng. degree from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2006. He is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Science and a member of the UJ Center for Telecommunications. He is the chair of the IEEE South Africa Chapter on Information Theory. His research interests include digital communications, error-correction coding, constrained coding and power-line communications.
