Biography

Fernando Reinaldo Ribeiro holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering, MSc in Computation and Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Information Systems and Technologies.

He has held several management positions at the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco as Director of the School of Technology and coordinator of the Digital Services, Applications and Content R&D Unit. He has authored numerous journal articles and conference papers.

Further to teaching, he has been supervising master’s theses since 2011.

His research interests include web platforms, mobile and pervasive computing, environment intelligence and assistive technologies, their societal and educational impacts, and software quality.
