Nonlinear Effects in Fibers Design and Fabrication of Optical Fibers
Biography
Hassan Pakarzadeh was born in Dezful, Iran, in 1980. He received the B.Sc., the M.Sc., and the Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2002, 2005, and 2011, respectively. From 2008 to 2009, he was awarded a scholarship to be a visiting Ph.D. student in Fiber Optics, Devices and Nonlinear Effects Group at DTU FOTONIK, Department of Photonics Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). During 2011-2016, he has served as an assistant professor at Physics Department, Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, Iran and since 2017 he has been promoted to the rank of associate professor of Physics. His research interests include optics and photonics, fiber optical parametric amplifiers (FOPAs) and nonlinear effects in optical fibers and nanowires. Dr. Pakarzadeh is a member of Optics and Photonics Society of Iran (OPSI), Physics Society of Iran (PSI) and IEEE Photonics Society (IPS). In addition, he is the first author or co-author of more than 100 peer reviewed scientific publications in journals and conferences.
