Biography
José L. Pérez-Córdoba is Associate Professor of Signal Theory and Communications at the Department of Signal Theory, Telematics and Communications of Granada University. He received the Doctor (summa cum laude) degree in Physic Sciences from the University of Granada, Granada, Spain, in 2000. From 1993 to 1994, he was doing a research stay at the System Research Institute, University of Maryland, USA, where he was involved in joint source-channel coding research. In the years 2001-2002 he was at University of Almeria, Spain, in a Research visit working in joint source-channel coding applied to image processing. His research interests include Speech Coding and Transmission and Robust Speech Recognition. He is co author of more than 45 journal, conference papers and book chapters. He is member of IEEE.
