Biography
Mahdi Pourakbari Kasmaei received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, power systems, from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Ilha Solteira, Brazil in 2015. He was a postdoctoral fellow at UNESP and also a visiting researcher at UCLM, Spain, for about 15 months. He was a project executive of three practical projects, PI of three academic projects, and also a consultant in an electric power distribution company where he received several awards such as exemplary engineer award, exceptional student award, best Ph.D. thesis award, etc. He also received best reviewer awards from peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, Applied Energy, and Energy Conversion and Management. Currently, he is a researcher at Aalto University. He is the Chairman of IEEE PES, Finland Chapter.
