Biography
Md. Alamgir Hossain was born at Satkhira in Bangladesh and received B.Sc. Engg. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) (with First Class Honors) from the Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Bangladesh, in 2012. After completing B. Sc. in Engineering, he has joined at DUET in the EEE department as a lecturer in 2012, and promoted to Assistant Professor in 2015. He has also completed Master of Engineering in 2016 from the University of New South Wales, Australia and is continuing Ph.D. degree in the same University. He was awarded the prestigious scholarship UNSW Canberra - Study Canberra Scholarship. He received the best research presenter (poster), the overall winner, at UNSW Canberra Research Day 2015. He has published more than 10 international journals and 5 international conferences in his specialist field. His field of interest is microgrid modeling, analysis, and control. His is currently working on power management of microgrids using artificial intelligence. He is a student member of IEEE, and member of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
