Biography
Hesham Alghodhaifi is currently a PhD student at the University of Michigan Rackham Graduate School Dearborn campus. His research at the University of Michigan focuses on using machine and deep learning on the field of autonomy and healthcare. He uses machine and deep learning to model autonomous vehicles under uncertain environment. He also uses machine/deep learning in the field of medical imaging to predict and classify different diseases. He is working as a Graduate Student Instructor
at the University of Michigan. Hesham has recently published work in Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS), and SPIE defense and commercial sensing, and IEEE. In addition to his research, he is the co-founder and the president of the
Graduate International Student Organization (GISO) and serves as a liaison between international
students and regional leaders and professionals whom he invites to speak on campus. He is also
the IEEE southeast Michigan student activities communication coordinator.
