Biography
Nader Asnafi is a professor of mechanical engineering with extensive experience from various assignments/positions in the industry in addition to his academic career. He has developed a range of new products, manufacturing systems and materials (more recently within metal additive manufacturing). He focuses on Digitalized Development and Operation/Use of Sustainable Products and Manufacturing Systems. He has a long industrial experience in managerial/leadership positions at the companies Esselte Dymo, Sapa Technology, Volvo Cars, Uddeholm and VA Automotive. He has also worked as Director of Studies at Luleå University of Technology and Dean of the School of Engineering at Blekinge Institute of Technology. He has been the board member for several national Swedish R&D programs. He has also been and is the reviewer in several national Swedish R&D and EU funded programs. He is a board member at the Swedish Welding Commission. He has organized and chaired several national and international conferences and seminars. In 2019, he is chairing three international conferences.
