Biography
Yacouba Moumouni received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2002 at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria; MS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 with emphasis on Solar and Renewable at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV); and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at UNLV in 2015 with emphasis on Power and Renewable Energy. He has been a Research Assistant at the Center for Energy Research (CER) and a Teaching Assistant at UNLV from August 2010 to December 2015. He served as an Adjunct Professor at UNLV before taking a faculty position at the Higher Colleges of Technology in the United Arab Emirates in August 2016. He is currently an Assistant Professor. His current research interests include Energy Storage Applications, Grid-tie PV, Thermoelectricity, Wind power, Energy Supply and Demand Modeling utilizing System Dynamics, Machine Learning, and Engineering Education. He has published over twenty articles in peer-reviewed venues.
