Dr. Emad Alhseinat is assistant professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. He has managed to attracted internal and external research grants that totals to more than AED 4.5 Million. Currently Dr. Alhseinat has established his lab in novel separation processes. He has supervised two graduate project design groups, two research associate and one postdoc. Dr. Alhseinat is a founding member of the Center for Membrane and Advanced Water Technology in Khalifa University. Prior to join Khalifa University Dr. Alhseinat worked in Abu Dhabi Petroleum Institute as Research and Teaching Associate. He was heavily involved in research activity, writing and preparing scientific proposals and presentations and publishing scientific articles. He managed to file four patents and publish one book chapter and more than 30 scientific journal papers in high impact Journals i.e. Chemical Engineering, International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control, Desalination, Fluid Phase Equilibria, Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, and Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering. Dr. Alhseinat came from the University of Edinburgh (ranked 17th in the world by the 2013; he worked in the research group of world renowned scientist in the field of membrane science and fouling.
