I graduated from Sharif University (Iran), I received my first MSc. in biotechnology (Tarbiat Modaress University, Iran) and second one from Charlmers University (Sweden). I received my PhD from UBC (Canada) developing CFD model for advanced oxidation reactors. In addition I have over twenty years progressive experience in various process industries, developing know-how for new processes, directing complicated research topics, designing, supervising, and constructing new chemical processes. Recognized as a multidisciplinary hands on engineer and researcher with considerable advanced experience and knowledge in CFD.
■ Extensive CFD modeling experience – Successful numerical modeling of complex fluidized bed reactors, chemical reactors, stirred reactors, heat exchangers, and various other industrial units.
■ Strong chemical engineering background – Proven record for developing, designing, improving, and scaling up of various industrial processes and equipment, using engineering principals complemented by analytical and experimental work.
■ Strong experimental research background – Designed and built several lab equipment, measurement instruments, pilot plants, and created scientific procedures for use in research facilities, including computer-based data/image acquisition/processing and new PILF method.
■ Software engineering – Working knowledge of many programming languages, including C and C++. Have developed many stand-alone, user-friendly software or sophisticated add on modules for existing commercial software, such as Fluent and MS Excel.
■ Experience in professional engineering software – Professional working knowledge of various engineering software such as Fluent , CFX, data/image acquisition/processing software (Labview, Matlab), CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and process simulation software (ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS, and PRO II).
