Biography
My research areas are: Wireless Communications and Networks, IoT, Remote Sensing and Computer Science and Engineering Education. Recently, I am serving as a PI in the Mississippi-Alabama Sea grant and as a Co-PI in the Mississippi Based RESTORE Act Center of Excellence (MBRACE) where we monitor and study Oysters Reefs in the Gulf of Mexico. I have also served as a PI or CoPI on many grants with the NSF and Verizon. My Computer Science and Engineering education research is twofold: The first is about integrating NSF/IEEE-TCPP Curriculum Initiative on Parallel and Distributed Computing (PDC) into Computer Science and Engineering courses. The second is training middle school students on the latest technology advances during summer camps.
