Biography
Dr. Mohammed received his Ph.D in Information Technology from Monash University. He has published and presented papers in major international information retrieval and artificial intelligence conferences and journals such as ICTAI, AIRS, JIKM, Knowledge-Based Systems, and Journal of Information Science. Dr. Mohammed is also a committee member/reviewer of several conferences and journals such as Webology, Knowledge-Based Systems, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and Community Informatics journals. His main research interests are in the fields of Knowledge Engineering, Data Analysis, Information and Natural Language Processing Processing, and Hybrid Intelligent Systems.
Dr. Mohammed started his career as a R & D Manager at gSoft Technology Solution Inc. Then, he worked at Dimensions Consulting Company as the Director of Research and QA. After that, he moved to work at the Arab American University of Palestine (AAUP) as a full time lecturer at the faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (EIT). From Sep. 2014 to Aug. 2016 he was the chairperson of the Multimedia Technology Department, and from Sep. 2016 to Aug. 2018 he was the chairperson of the Information Technology department. In addition to his work at AAUP, Dr. Mohammed worked as a consultant for SocialDice and Dimensions Consulting companies. Currently, he is the chairperson of the Multimedia Technology Department at AAUP.
