Biography
Dr Niaz Chowdhury is a postdoctoral researcher working with blockchain technology in the European Union-funded project QualiChain. His research experiences span over a decade across three British and Irish nations in England, Scotland and Ireland. He presently holds a Research Associate position in the Open Blockchain group of Knowledge Media Institute, a small but renowned and well-regarded research lab within the Open University in England. Previously he was a doctoral researcher in the University of Glasgow, Scotland and a research scholar in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
Dr Chowdhury is particularly interested in distributed systems and wireless networks research and has a keen interest in topics covering Blockchain, Internet of Things and Data Science within the Smart City and Big Data context. He also likes to explore privacy issues, digital humanities and policies related to his topics of interests.
He published numerous journal articles, conference papers and book chapters on the blockchain technology, the Internet of Things, smart cars and wireless networks. He has recently penned a book entitled Inside Blockchain, Bitcoin, and Cryptocurrencies. The book is published by Taylor and Francis and available in all major online and physical bookstores.
