Biography
Professor Mohammed Ali Almomani is a Professor of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). His academic career integrates engineering education, interdisciplinary research, academic leadership, and institutional development. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering–Industrial Production, an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing and Design), and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering, providing him with a multidisciplinary foundation spanning materials, manufacturing, and industrial engineering. His research in materials engineering focuses on the processing, characterization, and performance of advanced materials, with particular interests in coatings and surface engineering, corrosion protection, composite and nanostructured materials, additive manufacturing, and smart materials. More recently, his research has increasingly incorporated artificial intelligence and machine learning for predicting material properties and performance, bridging traditional materials science with data-driven engineering. His broader expertise encompasses advanced manufacturing, reliability, engineering decision-making, and engineering education, with a strong emphasis on connecting fundamental scientific knowledge with contemporary engineering and industrial challenges.
