Biography
Mar Parra Boronat (maparbo@epsg.upv.es) was born in Oliva, Valencia (Spain) on the 8th of April, 1997. She finished her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences in the Higher Polytechnic School of Gandia. She is now studying a master's degree in Assessment and Environmental Monitoring of Marine and Coastal Ecosystems. On her end-of-degree project she worked on implementing Internet of Things and wireless sensor networks in smart cities for the monitoring of agricultural fields. She has already worked organizing conferences. She has been supporting two IEEE conferences and two IARIA conferences. She presented a paper in SoftNet 2019 (IARIA). Most of the study she has done in this area is centred around solenoid coils and their use for the detection of soil moisture. Moreover, she has worked on using these coils for sewage water monitoring and assessing the effect of temperature on them. She is the author/co-author of five conference papers and one journal paper. She has always found a calling in the improvement of the environment. Although it is not her primordial area of study, she believes in the importance of implementing new technologies to take better care of our world.
