Biography
Abdulkareem Khadhim (MIEEE)
He was born in (Baghdad-Iraq) 1958. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from MEC, now University of Technology, in (Iraq) 1981. He got his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Digital Communication Systems from Loughborough University of Technology (U.K) in 1984 & 1989 respectively.
His main research fields are:Wireless Sensor Networks Routing Protocols, Network Coding, Physical Layer networks Coding, Trellis coded modulation and turbo coding, Polar and Fountain Coding approaches for two way relay networks, OFDM and DWMT for multiple access communication, FPGA based DSP techniques for modern communication systems, Wavelet based image compression techniques, Frequency and wavelet domains stegonagraphic techniques, Improved recognition techniques for speech and fingerprints.
He published over 40 papers in International and national journals and conferences.
He is now with college of Information Engineering / Al-Nahrain University/ Baghdad/ Iraq.
