Biography
Laith Sawaqed, an Assistant professor of mechanical engineering department at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He served as the mechanical engineering department chairman for two years 2016-2018. In addition, he is one of the main advisors of MASAR initiative (One of crown prince foundation initiatives) to launch the first Jordanian cube satellite. Dr. Sawaqed holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering - Mechatronics from Jordan
University of Science and Technology in 2006, 2008, respectively. He received his Doctorate
in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland – College Park in 2013. Dr.
Sawaqed's primary area of research has focused on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and
