Biography
Received the PhD degree (Hons.) in electromagnetics from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Universidade de Lisboa (ULISBOA) in 2014.
From 2014 to 2018, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Institut d'Electronique et de Télécommunications de Rennes (IETR), Université de Rennes 1, working mainly on biomedical applications of wireless power transfer systems (WPTs). He is currently an associate professor at École supérieure d'électronique de l'ouest, Angers, France, in the field of RF/microwave wireless systems. He is also an associate researcher at IETR, UMR CNRS 6164. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers. His main field of research includes novel design and analysis of antennas and microwave components, EMC, design and characterization of human body models, dosimetry and exposure assessment, WPT and energy harvesting, and computational electromagnetic (time- and frequency-domain methods).
Dr. Koohestani is a member of the France IEC standardization working group in the SC47A subcommittee on the EMC for integrated circuits.
