Sergey V. Bezzateev received the Diploma in Computer Science from
Aerospace Instrumentation Institute of Leningrad, Soviet Union in 1980. In
1987 he received Ph.D. degree in Information Theory from the Aerospace
Instrumentation Institute of Leningrad. and in 2011 he received
Doctor of science degree in Information Theory from the Saint-Petersburg University
of Aerospace Instrumentation. From 1980 till 1993 he was employed
by Aerospace Instrumentation Institute. He spent 1993-1995 as researcher at
the Nagoya University, Japan, where he worked on Prof. Yoshihiro Iwadare
Laboratory. From 1995 he was Associate Professor at Department of Information
technologies and Information Security, State University of Aerospace
Instrumentation (SUAI), Saint Petersburg, Russia. From 2004 till 2007 he was
Project Leader in Joint Laboratory Samsung-SUAI on Information Security in
Wireless Networks. From 2010, he was Professor and the head of Department
of Technologies of Information Security in SUAI.In 2012, he was awarded the
St. Petersburg government prize for education.
In 2013 he won a grant from the NordSecMobile Academic program and participated in joint research
with colleagues from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
From 2017 he becomes the
Professor of Secure Information Technologies school in ITMO University too.
His main research interests are algebraic coding theory
and cryptographic methods of information security. More than 100 scientific papers have been published, including more than 70 in the database indexed by SCOPUS.
More than 20 patents have been obtained, including 15 international patents.
