Biography
Dr. Anu Bourgeois is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia State University. She received her Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Louisiana State University in 2000. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary work across health informatics, distributed computing, wireless and sensor networks, security and privacy. In the past, she has led research projects for efficient large-scale public health data collection and analysis, as well investigated privacy-preserving techniques for context-aware applications. Dr. Bourgeois also conducts research in STEM Education and is active in efforts for broadening participation. She has been supported by NSF, NIH, CDC and the Department of Education and is currently a Senior Member of IEEE.
