Biography Dr. Yashwanth N, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Karnataka, India. He has completed his B.E, degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from VTU, Belagavi, M.Tech, degree in Signal Processing and VLSI from Jain University, Bengaluru and Completed Ph.D in the area of Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks from VTU, Belagavi. He has been serving as reviewer for several journals and conferences. He has delivered several technical talks and been honoured as a Resource Person. His PhD research work on “Node Localization in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks” was done at the research centre – Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, MCE, Hassan with 11 publications in international conferences and journals. He had the opportunity of presenting a technical paper in University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2019. His M.Tech Project was carried out at National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bengaluru where he was motivated for research work with project titled “Time Frequency Representation of Non Linear Signals using Hilbert Huang Transform” and also during his internships at NAL, Bengaluru on “Micro Aerial Vehicles, Camera Calibration and Health Monitoring System of Aircrafts”. His Bachelor of Engineering Project titled “Electronic Stick for Blind” was sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. In the last 9 years of teaching B.E. and M.Tech. (VLSI design and Embedded Systems), he has an insight of many courses such as Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communication, Electronics Instrumentation, Basic Electronics, Computer Communication Networks, Principles of Communication Systems, Operating Systems, Embedded System Design, VLSI Design, IoT and Wireless Sensor Networks, Power Electronics and Instrumentation, Wireless Cellular and LTE 4G Broadband, Fundamentals of HDL, VLSI Testing and Verification, Low Power VLSI Design, VLSI Process Technology. Parallelly with teaching he has been a student learner and has attended more than 20 FDPs. He has also coordinated the conduction of more than 5 FDPs. He has experience of writing research proposals with one of them to Naval Research Board, New Delhi along with his guide Dr. B R Sujatha during his research work. He has been granted Indian/ International Patents. He is also associated with a company named “Pincore Technologies India Private Limited” where his role is Vice President - Product Engineering and Management. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and Member of ComSoc Society.
