Biography
Oumar Diene was born in Dakar, Senegal. He received the Engineer, M.Sc., and D.Sc. degrees from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, in 2002, 2004, and 2008, respectively, all in Electrical Engineering.
He began his career in January 2009, as an Assistant Professor in the Center of Engineering, Modeling and Applied Social Sciences, Federal University of ABC (CECS/UFABC), Santo Andre, Brazil. Since June 2010, he has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (DEE/UFRJ), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His interests
are in control systems, hybrid systems and fault diagnosis in power systems.
Dr. Diene is a Reviewer for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON NEURAL NETWORKS and the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON AUTOMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING.
