Farhad Pakdaman received his Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Tehran in 2019. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Mazandaran, where he was a lecturer since 2014. From 2018, he has also been a researcher at the Signal Analysis and Machine Intelligence (SAMI) research group, Tampere University, Finland. He is a recipient of the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions - Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF) under H2020 program. His research interests include image/video processing and compression, multimedia systems and networks, energy efficient computing, and machine learning solutions for multimedia. He has been a reviewer for top international journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Access, IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing, Multimedia Tools and Applications, and IEEE ICME.
