Biography
I, Diana S. Rwegasira, am an Assistance Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam. My areas of research are based on Smart grid control systems, Educational technologies (EdTech), Innovations and Entrepreneurship.
Currently, I am a PhD student in a sandwich programme between the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in Tanzania and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) Department of Electronics in Sweden focusing on the enhancement of agent-based controlling and monitoring on solar-driven DC microgrid system. I obtained my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and IT at the University of Dar es salaam from Sept. 2004 - Dec. 2008. Thereafter, I went to the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) in Finland and pursued my M.Sc. in Computer Science from August.2010 –Dec.2011.
My teaching experiences from the University of Dar es salaam are programming courses and computer applications, Network security issues, Professional ethics in computer science, and e-commerce applications. I am also supervising projects for final year students and practical training for continuing students. I have been engaged on developing and maintaining of the portal/platforms for PhD students under the iGrid project (TTA and iGrid portal). I am also involving in mentoring and grooming of students at the University of Dar es salaam ICT incubator (UDICTI) from June 2012 to present.
