Biography
Erol Gelenbe FIEEE FACM FIPFIP FRSS FIET is Professor in the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics (IITIS-PAN) of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His research is on the performance, security and energy consumption of computer systems and networks. His awards include the ACM SIGMETRICS Life-Time Achievement Award, the IET Innovation Award (Oliver Lodge Medal), the Grand Prix France Telecom of the French Academy of Sciences, and the Mustafa Prize. He was elected to the Royal Belgian, Hungarian, Polish and Turkish Academies of Sciences, and is an Honorary Fellow of the islamic World Academy of Sciences.
