Biography
Dr. Debnath completed his bachelor's and master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT’s. He completed his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee in 2015 in the ever-challenging and intrinsically encompassing field of manufacturing of composite materials. He started his career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of NIT Meghalaya in 2015. His commendable efforts and dependable diligence shadowed with a rich blend of dynamism in the domain spanning research have enabled him to publish more than 100 technical manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings or bound volumes culminating from conferences. His systematic and methodical execution of the intrinsic intricacies pertinent to his research has enabled him to compile 24 technical manuscripts that have been included as chapters in books published and put forth by internationally renowned publishers namely Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Woodhead, CRC Press, etc. His current research is focused in the area of conceptualization and development of biodegradable composites and manufacturing methods. He was honored with the prestigious ‘Excellent Research Contribution Award’ award on the occasion of Institute Day of NIT Meghalaya on 1st April 2019.
