Biography
Based on my passion for innovation and technology, and considering the fact that the world strongly relies on information and data to make processes more efficient and cost-effective, I studied for both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information technology. During my studies, I became interested in artificial intelligence and its wide applications, including natural language processing which deals with the interaction between computers and human language. My master’s thesis was centred around natural language processing (NLP) where I combined contextualised and context-independent word embeddings using ensemble learning methods for natural language inference (NLI) task in the Persian language. I also contributed to collecting the first Persian dataset for natural language inference task, named FarsTail, in a 22-month team effort. Our paper detailing this dataset was published in Soft Computing journal and has been cited 30 times so far. Moreover, I have worked as a freelance data scientist on several NLP projects that allowed me to obtain hands-on practical experience in real-world circumstances.
