Mahmood is a distinguished Senior Software/Hardware Engineer at Infinera Corp, specializing in digital to analogue converters and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in coherent optical communication systems.
His academic journey began at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, where he pursued a major in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunication and Electronics. He graduated in 2015, equipped with a robust foundation in his field.
Driven by a thirst for deeper knowledge, Dr. Mahmood then embarked on a Master’s degree in Broadband and Optical Communication, which he completed in 2017. This advanced study further honed his expertise and prepared him for the challenges of the rapidly evolving tech industry.
In pursuit of academic excellence, Mahmood moved to the United Kingdom to attend Bangor University in North Wales. There, he undertook a rigorous Ph.D. program in Coherent Optical Communication Systems, graduating in 2022.
Today, Dr. Mahmood applies his extensive education and passion for his field to his role at Infinera Corp, contributing significantly to advancements in the realm of software and hardware engineering.
