Biography
Dr. Harasis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electric power and Mechatronics engineering, Tafila Technical University, Jordan. He served as a department head during the 2021/2022 academic year. He was hosted as a summer visiting researcher at INESC-TEC institute to work on renewable energy integration into islanded microgrids and at VTT lab for real-time simulation of renewable energy systems. Dr. Harasis received a B.Sc. degree in electrical power engineering from Tafila Technical University, Tafila, Jordan, in 2009. Received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania, in 2013. Received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Akron, OH, USA in 2020. His research interests include control of power systems and microgrids, renewable energy technologies, and power electronics of power systems. Dr. Harasis has published several articles in Scopus and SCI-indexed journals.
