Biography
Hossien Eldeeb (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey, in December 2021. He is currently a research fellow in the Electrical Engineering Division at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK. Before that, he was a research and teaching fellow in Computer and Communication Engineering, at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE since June 2022. Before that, he was a research and teaching assistant in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, at Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey. His expertise spans optical and wireless communications, vehicular communications, wireless security, channel modeling, intelligent surfaces, and the application of AI/ML in wireless security. He has authored over 55 peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, and contributions to IEEE standardizations. He received two Best Paper Awards at the IEEE-IET CSNDSP 2020 and GITW 2022 conferences. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr Eldeeb serves as the Vice Chair of the IEEE ComSoc/SS Joint Chapter in the UAE Section playing a key role in advancing wireless communication security technologies. He also is an active member of the IEEE VTS AdHoc Committee on Autonomous Vehicles working to advance research, development, and innovation in the technical aspects of automated driving. Also, he contributes to other standardization bodies, including the IEEE 802.11-TGbb standardization task group and IEEE 6G Empowering Robotics Working Group – IEEE P1955 Standard. Furthermore, he has chaired, co-chaired, and served as a TPC for several workshops on OWC and security, in conjunction with leading IEEE conferences such as GLOBECOM, PIMRC, WCNC, VTC, ITC, and MeditCom.
