Biography
Yousef N. Shnaiwer (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University, Hebron, Palestine, in 2011, the M.Sc. degree in telecommunications from the Electrical Engineering Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from KFUPM in 2020. Dr. Shnaiwer worked as a remote intern researcher with King Abdullah University (KAUST), Thuwal, KSA, and the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Tokyo, Japan until March 2022, then he joined NII as a Postdoc Researcher in April 2022 until March 2025. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department at Al-Zaytonah University of Jordan (ZUJ). His research interests include machine learning for IIoT networks, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS)-assisted wireless networks, Rate Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA), femtocell networks, cognitive radio networks, and UAV-assisted Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) networks.
