Güner TATAR (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Marmara University and Inonu University, Turkiye, in 2015, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical-Electronics Engineering from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkiye, where he received the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in 2024. In 2018, he was awarded a government-funded scholarship for his work on developing the infrastructure for biomedical imaging and diagnostic systems. From 2017 to 2023, he served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at FSMVU in Istanbul, and from 2023 to 2024, he held the positions of Assistant Professor and Vice Chair. Since 2024, he has been with the Department of Electrical Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Medeniyet University as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Electrical Machines Division. His research interests include Reconfigurable Computing, AMD Xilinx MPSoC FPGAs, Multiprocessors and Embedded Multi-core Architecture, Heterogeneous Computing, and advanced driver assistance systems. He has been an active IEEE member for several years and was elevated to Senior Member status.
